Mens Division 4A leaders forge ahead

The two leading teams, Redhill and St Giles 3, in Division 4A Mens, gained further victories to enhance their prospects of promotion. In each case their opponents were Radcliffe Knights, Redhill winning 7-2, Ken Tantum and David Howarth being unbeaten, backed up by three rubbers from Mick Fletcher and Ryan Merrell, whilst St Giles 3's 6-3 win was anchored by a maximum from the Josh Baker/John White pairing.

Paul Grimley and Ellen Housley were undefeated for Bingham 2 in their 7-2 success at Forest 2 in Mixed Premier, John Tilling and Jess Martin achieving the same feat for Carlton 1 in their 6-3 win at University 3 in Division 1.
Ian Price and Adeline Jones took their three rubbers to lead Chilwell 3 to a 5-4 win against St Giles 3 in 3A, two pairs - Rob Richards/Julie Whitby and Adam Tyas/Claire McVeigh - being unbeaten in Mapperley Park 5's 7-2 success over Boots 2 in the same Division.

Mapperley Park 1 gained a narrow 5-4 win over Byron 1 to take them to the top of the Mens Premier Division but were unable to prevent the visitors Laurie Johnston and Steve Gregory from taking their three rubbers. Bingham 1 maintaining their challenge with a 6-3 win at Forest 1 with a maximum from Matt Tongue and Ryan Curtis.
Kevin Langley and Matt Flint were unbeaten for Southwell 1 but saw their team go down 5-4 at Bingham 2 in Division 1, Southwell bouncing back to beat Bingham 3 by the same score, Jack Akehurst and Matt Flint being undefeated.
In the same Division, Sandy Lamont and Simon Vanderwalt were unbeaten to lead Beeson Fields 2 to a 7-2 win against St Giles 1, as were Joe Orchard and Ben Cooper in Rolls Royce 3's 6-3 win over David Lloyd Aspley 1 in 3A.
Imran Azam and Rizwan Iqbal were undefeated in taking all Unity 1's rubbers in a 6-3 loss to leaders Mapperley Park 3 in 3B, St Giles 2 keeping the pressure on the leaders with a 6-3 win Away at Beeston Valley 3, Colin Leach and Tom Mallory being undefeated.

In Ladies Division 1, the two leading Teams, Bingham 2 and Mapperley Park 1 each gained convincing 8-1 victories and while still to play each other both teams appear favourites for promotion.
In Division 2, leaders Mapperley Park 2 won 6-3 at Beeston Valley 1, Helen Palmer and Helen Smith being undefeated, Carlton maintaining their unbeaten record with a 5-4 victory also Away at Beeston Valley 1, Jess Martin and Emily Feek being undefeated.
Sally Moors and Emma Perczynski were unbeaten to lead Boots to a 5-4 success against Mapperley Park 4 in Division 3.
