All England Masters Championships 2025

Two Nott’s Masters players competed in the All England Master’s Championships held at Hatfield Sports Centre over the weekend of 11/12/13th April.
Nott’s O50s players Carl Jennings (Forest B.C.) and Paula Wilson (Bingham B.C.).

Carl Jennings seeded 2nd in the over 50s singles event lost in the Semi-Finals to 3rd seed Ronni Christensen from Denmark in two sets 12-21, 18-21.

Carl with his regular men’s partner Mark King (Leicestershire), 2nd seeds, lost in the Final to 1st seeds James Anderson and Ian Pearson both from Essex, score 21-16, 21-9.

Carl playing with Nott’s player Paula Wilson in last years All England Championships, teamed up again at the All England and were seeded 2nd in the O50s Mixed competition.
Having beaten the 3rd seeds, Danish pair Carsten Loesch & Majken Asmussen 21-18, 21-18 in the semi-final, Carl and Paula next played old rivals, 1st seeds Morten Herbst & Janne Vang Neils also from Denmark, who beat the Notts pair in the finals last year in three close sets. Again, the score was close 21-18, 21-18 to the Danish pair. Fingers crossed, the Notts pair will be third time lucky next year.
