Masters over 40s Team remain unbeaten

On Sunday 16th February the over 40s travelled to Norfolk while the 55s 1st team entertained League leaders Yorkshire at Chilwell Olympia.

The 40s convincingly beat Norfolk by 10-2. Winning all four Mens, three Ladies and three Mixed rubbers and remain unbeaten this season in the Midlands East League with just one match to play - the return match against Lincolnshire on 1st March. They previously beat Lincolnshire 10-2 at Chilwell Olympia.
Should Nott's beat Lincolnshire the team will then play Staffordshire, winners of the Midlands West League, in a Play Off to be held on Sunday 22nd March on neutral courts at Leicester - The winning team moving forward to compete in the County Championship Finals in April.

The 55s 1st team battled hard, they did not let Yorkshire have it all their own way, particularly in the level Mens doubles. However Nott's could not overcome the all round strength of League leaders Yorkshire and went down 12-0.
The team next play their final League match at Lancashire on March 8th.
