Masters 40s make the Play off's

Two Masters Teams competed on Sunday 1st March, the 40s travelled to Lincolnshire while the 45s played Oxfordshire on their home courts at Chilwell Olympia.

The 40s team were up against their main rivals Lincolnshire, both teams playing their final match in the Midlands East Division.
Previously Nott's gained an outright win when they played Lincolnshire at home. Today they won two Mens, three Ladies and one Mixed rubber gaining a losing 6-6 draw, which was enough for the Nott's side to win their League outright and go forward to play against Staffordshire, winners of Midlands West in a Play Off.
The match will take place on Sunday 22nd March on neutral courts at Leicester, the wining team to then go forward to play in the County Championship Finals at Birmingham.

The 45s convincingly beat Oxfordshire by 11-1 and remain unbeaten at the top of the Midlands Division. They next play their final league match against main rivals Derbyshire on Sunday 29th March at Chilwell Olympia.
Derbyshire still have two matches in hand before they encounter Nott's, however it is anticipated that they should win both which would give them 18 points. Nott's now have 20 points and will need at least a losing draw against Derbyshire to win the Division outright and play in the County Championship Finals at Birmingham over the weekend of 25/26th April.
