A resounding success for Ladies only session

Ladies Only sessionNotts Masters County committee held a very successful Ladies only session on Sunday 11th September at Chilwell Olympia.
This was held in order to encourage more Notts affiliated ladies players to come and have a go and find out more about the Masters County teams and organization.
This session was very well attended by new and returning players.
A competitive enjoyable afternoon was evident with the last game of the session finishing 27-25!
Thank you to all who attended and supported this event.
Gill Maloney (Coordinator).

Lee Troung (Committee) - "I was really pleased with the turn out for the Ladies only session. It seemed to be very well received by those who came along.
Our aim was to find hidden female talent in the County, and encourage more ladies to play Masters Badminton. I want to build on this experience, and we encourage anyone who may be interested to get in touch"

Player comments:-
"As a result of Covid I have not played badminton that much and wasn't sure I actually wanted to play again. I was new into the area in August, so didn't really know what to expect from Notts County Badminton. People have taken the time to openly communicate with me before I turned up to play and when I did; I was met with many friendly faces and made to feel truly welcomed - regardless of my ability. I've got the badminton bug back and look forward to playing again."

"I was absolutely buzzing after the Notts Masters Ladies' session! Playing ladies' doubles is my favourite thing in the world and we don't often get the opportunity to play 3 hours of it, back to back with other women of the same standard and age. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming - loved it!"
