Two more convincing wins for Notts Masters Teams

On Sunday 11th December, Notts Masters over 50s team entertained Lincolnshire on their home courts at Chilwell Olympia, while the over 60s team travelled to play Leicestershire.
Although the score, 10-2 to Notts, suggested the match was comfortable for the Notts 50s team, they did have a hard battle against Lincolnshire. Five rubbers went to three sets. However, the all-round team strength showed through, Notts winning all four Mens, two Ladies and all four Mixed.
The 50s have now played and won four matches and top the Midlands League. They still have to play Cambridgeshire and Essex, who play against each other next Sunday.
Notts 50s next play Away to Cambridgeshire on 5th February and Essex on 12th February on their Home courts.

Notts 60s team’s strength also overcame Leicestershire, although they didn’t have it all their own way – six rubbers went to three sets, with Notts taking them all, resulting in a 11-1 win.
The team top the Midlands league with three wins under their belt.
With two remaining matches to play, Notts are looking favourites to win the League, although Shropshire 1st are an unknown factor at this stage of the season.
The 60s next match is against Shropshire 2nd on March 5th at Home. Their final League match against Shropshire 1st is on April 2nd at Shropshire.
