Nottinghamshire Junior Badminton Team Clinches Historic Victory in U18/19 County League

Big congratulations to the Nottinghamshire Junior County Team (U18/19) for a fantastic, and well deserved league win. This is a massive achievement for players coaches and volunteers who were all part of this result. We believe the last junior county league win for Nottinghamshire was for our U13 team in 2006 18 years ago. Very strong wins against 8 other counties took our youngsters to the finals where they won against Avon 16-4, won against Sussex 14-6 and a great final match win against our good friends Leicestershire 11-9. The last match was a nail bitter coming down to the last two events.

The Players who share this success are : Precious Basra, Lucy Brierley, Matilda Franklin, Martha Franklin, Emily North, Raye Wan, William Barton, Aidan Cheung, Sam Coss, Matthew Hooper, Harry Marklew

Our best wishes to Sam, Emily, Matthew & Matilda who now leave junior badminton this season.

Some of these payers have represented Nottinghamshire teams since primary school age in the Midway leagues. Good luck in your new adventures and in senior badminton.
