Great start for Masters 55s team

Nott’s over 55s team, having previously played in the North division for the last three seasons, have now been moved back to play in the Midlands division.
The team travelled to play their first match of the season against Buckinghamshire on Sunday 13th October. The last time our 55s played Buckinghamshire was in season 2021-22.
Buckinghamshire were unable to overcome the all-round strength of the Nott’s team. Nott’s winning three Ladies, three Mens and all four Mixed rubbers, resulting a good 10-2 win.
Karen Gleave (Captain), Loraine Buck, Neil Franklyn and Warwick Mooney were all unbeaten in the match.
Congratulations to Martyn Norman, who made his debut today, winning at 1st Men’s with partner Alan Bowmer and 1st Mixed with Loraine Buck.
The team next play Warwickshire on their Home courts at Chilwell Olympia on October 27th.
Also our 40s team open their season, also playing Warwickshire at Chilwell on the same day. Both matches starting at 12 noon.
