Mixed fortunes for Masters Teams

Three Masters Teams played on Sunday 26th November. The O/45s and O/50s entertained Warwickshire and Lincolnshire respectively on their Home courts at Chilwell Olympia, while the O/60s travelled to play last seasons League finalists Lancashire.

The 45s playing their main rivals Warwickshire got off to a great start by winning all four Mens and one Ladies doubles, requiring two out of the four remaining Mixed to win the match outright. They won three, resulting in a fine 8-4 win to the Notts. side.
Having won both of their opening two matches, the team top the League. They next play Leicestershire at Home on 10th December.

The 50s completely outclassed their opponents Lincolnshire. They won 12-0, winning all rubbers in two straight sets. The team also top their League. They next play Leicestershire at Home on 17th December.

The 60s fought hard but the overall strength of Lancashire proved to be the deciding factor.
However Lancashire didn't have it all their own way when the Notts. ladies pair of Jacqui Burton and Pauline Adams played brilliantly to take both of their matches. The team went down 2-10. They next play Yorkshire at Home on 17th December.
