Masters 65s open their season with a win

Notts Masters over 65s team entertained Staffordshire on their Home courts at Chilwell Olympia on Sunday 20th November, while the over 50s team travelled to play Leicestershire.

Staffordshire 65s proved to be a tough team to beat; Notts didn’t have it all their own way. Seven out of nine rubbers went to three sets; however, the all-round strength of the Notts side proved to be the deciding factor. Notts winning the match 7-2.
Jacqui Burton, Eileen Clarke and Mike Nettleton where all unbeaten in the match.
The 65s next match is on December 4th when they travel to play Warwickshire.

The 50s team dominated Leicestershire, winning all four Mens, three Ladies and two Mixed rubbers, resulting in a 9-3 win.
The team next play Suffolk on 27th November at Chilwell Olympia.
