Mixed fortunes for Nott’s Masters Teams
Three Masters Teams played on Sunday 28th November. The 45s and 60s teams entertained Worcestershire on their home courts at Chilwell Olympia, while the 40s travelled to Staffordshire.
The 40s fought hard but were unable to overcome the all-round strength of league favourite’s Staffordshire. The team won one Men’s, one Ladies and one Mixed rubber resulting in a 3-9 loss.
The team’s next league match is on December 12th at Oxfordshire.
The 45’s overcame Worcestershire when they took all four Men’s, two Ladies and three Mixed rubbers resulting in a good 9-3 win.
They next play their main rivals Derbyshire on 5th December at Chilwell Olympia.
The 60s opened their season with a convincing 10-2 win over a depleted Worcestershire team who were one Lady short. The Nott’s side only losing two Men’s rubbers in the match against Worcestershire’s 1st Men’s pair.
The 60s next play Shropshire 1st team on December 12th a Chilwell Olympia.
