45s remain unbeaten

Two Masters Teams travelled to play Derbyshire and Lancashire on Sunday 23rd February.
The 45s playing their main rivals Derbyshire and the 50s playing League leaders Lancashire.

The 45s won all four Men's, one ladies and two Mixed rubbers resulting in a fine 7-5 win and remain in 1st position in the Midlands League.
Matt Tongue and Craig Favill were both unbeaten in the match, Matt with partners Andy Cokayne at 1st Mens and Paula Wilson at 1st Mixed - Craig with Graydon Peacock playing 2nd Mens and wife Toni at 2nd Mixed.
The Team next play their penultimate match against Oxfordshire at Chilwell Olympia on March 1st.


The 50s were up against unbeaten Lancashire and were unable to overcome the all-round strength of their opposition. The Nott's Ladies were unlucky not to win all four rubbers - all went to three close sets - pairs, Jane Tarrant/Jane Smith and Karen Gleave/Helen Clarke winning one rubber each. The team went down 10-2.
The 50s play their final match of the season at Cheshire on 29th March.
