Nott’s Masters Players represented England against Scotland

Nott’s Masters over 50s players, Carl Jennings and Paula Wilson, won the Masters English Nationals Tournament in the over 50s Mixed competition in December, Paula then making her overdue debut appearance in Masters Tournament’s. Carl also won the over 50s English National Singles title.

As a result of their performances in the Nationals, both Carl and Paula where then selected to play for England against Scotland on Friday 1st March at the York Railway Institute.
Playing their Mixed match, their Scottish opponents were unable to overcome the all-round tactical ability of the Nott’s pair, resulting in a comfortable 21-16, 21-10 win to the Nott’s players.
Carl was also selected to play in the over 50s singles against Scotland. Carl’s strength of shot and mobility was the deciding factor, beating his opponent in two straight sets 21-13, 21-9.
